Braco Dimitrijevic
Braco Dimitrijevic was born in Sarajevo in 1948. He had his first one man show in 1958 at the age of 10. From 1968 to 1971 studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb (MA).
1971 – 1973 post graduate work at St Martin’s School of Art in London.
1972 British Council grant.
1976 – 1977 DAAD fellowship in Berlin.
In 1978 received Prix Jean Dominique Ingres from Acadmie de Musologie Evocatoire.
1978 received the Major Award from the Arts Council of Great Britain.
1992 received Knighthood for Arts – Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres in Paris.
2005, A.B.O. d’Oro, Rome.
In 2011, an exhibition of his work Louvre is my studio, street is my museum was shown at Musée d'Art Moderne de Saint-Etienne Métropole, France
He lives in Paris.
